Moderately Exudative VLUs Shown to Benefit from OVIK Health’s Advanced Wound Care Products

At the Kent State University College of Podiatric Medicine, four patients had moderately exudating VLUs that were also complicated by trauma. The wounds and periwound status of each patient was examined on a weekly basis.

There was a reduction noted in both pain and odor for all four cased due to the silver antimicrobial in the AFM® dressing as well as the cyclodextrin within the first layer of CoFlex® TLC.

The exudate was managed, periwound maceration was controlled, and the patients were able to resume normal activities as the CoFlex® TLC remained in place without irritation or slippage.
